When our oldest son walked up and saw these boxes stacked together amongst the mess on top of the stove…
he saw something I did not.
As we prepared for David’s Minecraft birthday party, I was ready for a simple idea for the piñata. And so…. with a little duct tape…
…a rope, and some paint…
And gobs and gobs and gobs of white tissue paper…
…and two squares of black tissue paper…
we built a Minecraft Duck piñata.
(I have since been told that it’s a chicken, but it looks like a duck to me. Obviously, I’m not hip with my Minecraft vocabulary.)
This thing held up through almost 20 energetic whacks with a great big stick.
…But even with duct tape reinforcements, our piñatas never last long enough! Next time Gary’s planning to cover the entire piñata with duct tape instead of tissue paper. Mwahahaha!
