Just wanted to share a simple and effective idea for notebooking through science or history memory work. This example uses science and history cards, although you can create notebooking pages using pretty much any resource available to you.
Copywork: Our children refer to the picture on the front side of the card to draw an illustration for our memory work using a notebooking illustration page.
Using the back side of the card, they copy information to provide extra details related to the memory work. After writing the information, they double check their punctuation, spelling, etc. before storing it in their notebooks.

Review Ideas
Use the science or history cards to practice your memory work!
- Simply use them as flashcards
- For older students, prepare a presentation by making a key-word-outline of the information on the cards.
- Mix the cards up on the floor for a flyswat game (where you call out the science question and they swat the card as they answer it). Using the cards like this is especially helpful for younger, more visual learners.
- Play Hedbanz with Timeline or Science cards.
