As we waded through the creek this weekend, we collected more rocks that were of various geometric shapes.
The boys started singing our Geometry song:
“Geometry, geometry, let’s learn some geometry.
The area of a rectangle equals length times width.
The area of a square equals length of its side squared. S squared!
The area of a triangle equals one-half base times height.
The area of a circle equals Pi times the radius squared.
The circumference of a circle equals two times Pi times the radius.”
We love collecting rocks! Not only do we have our geometry rocks:
but we also have our chalkboard rocks (slate):
and letter rocks:
and state rocks:
Do you have a rock collection? Are your rock collections a little strange like ours?
